I am Teacher Jan, an educator with a strong passion for teaching Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE), specializing in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). With years of experience in the field, I have dedicated myself to helping students understand and appreciate the ever-evolving world of technology. I believe that digital literacy is a crucial skill in today’s generation, and I take pride in equipping learners with both the knowledge and practical skills they need to thrive in the 21st-century landscape.

My teaching approach is grounded in the belief that learning should be both meaningful and engaging. I integrate real-life applications and hands-on activities in my lessons to ensure that students not only learn concepts but also see their relevance. I specialize in teaching both hardware and software components of ICT, helping students become confident in using computers, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and utilizing productivity tools effectively.

As an educator, I continuously seek to grow professionally. I am currently involved in educational research focused on assessing students' readiness and interest in ICT, particularly in the areas of hardware and software competencies. My research is guided by Albert Bandura’s Social Learning Theory and Jean Piaget’s Constructivist Theory, which emphasize the importance of social context and active learning in education. This scholarly pursuit supports my mission to create learner-centered classrooms that promote collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation.

Beyond teaching, I firmly believe in character development. I strive to be a positive role model for my students, encouraging them to be competent ICT users and responsible digital citizens. I aim to cultivate an inclusive and respectful learning environment where every student feels seen, heard, and supported.
