I was a regular English teacher for 3 years and decided to go to a bigger city to explore. I first landed on an ESL job since I am a teacher. The pay was fine but I felt like my skills in English was deteriorating and I think you know why, haha. BPO companies were sprouting in Cebu and I really got really curious and kinda jealous on the benefits and the pay they got as we talked. Since I did not have any experience and my computer skill was not really enough I felt, so I applied in a small company and luckily got hired. Thanks to them because my typing speed, my computer knowledge was enhanced and most of all, it was the time that I fully understand what really a BPO company is and why is it so important for American people. I was an outbound customer service representative then later I was hired as a virtual assistant by a good client. After more than 2 years of my stay I decided to try to a well-known good commission based telemarketing company because I wanted to get good money from my hard work, unfortunately the management of the company did not run it well so the business had almost collapsed causing the employees to find another company. I am also very thankful to them since I stayed there for more than a year and my telemarketing skills were really enhanced. I may not be the best but I was making sure I was doing my best. Got some awards and certificates during my stay. I felt like I was capable to apply to bigger and better companies, so it was the time I tried CONVERGYS Philippines. And yes! I was hired and the sales chat support. Oh, I was secured, happy and I think I had the best job and the best company so far. After almost 3 years of my happy stay in Convergys, my sister got married and had to live on her own, my live-in partner who was also a call center agent resigned and decided to go home in Dumaguete. I was uncomfortable living alone but stayed there for a year more. I was very happy with the company I was with and wanted to stay there for life but the traffic situation was getting worst that I had to travel for almost 2 hours on the street to get to the company. The apartments were getting more expensive, the climate was getting hotter so I decided to come home to my hometown and decided to live a very simple life with my loved ones. I am currently on an ESL company online but I missed being a customer service representative. I saw this site and I am very hopeful that I could get a good and generous client to work with. I want to be an asset of the business that I can be proud of and the same time, I want to earn enough to have a decent living. I am looking forward to be called for an interview.
