Hi there! I’m Jan Alex V. Cabalfin, but you can call me Alex. I’m originally from Bacolod, where I graduated from LA Consolacion College with a course in TVL Tourism. My educational background sparked my interest in exploring various industries, which led me on a diverse and exciting career path.
After completing my studies, I began my professional journey at a call center working for a solar company. It was a great introduction to the workforce, and over time, I advanced to the role of team leader. This position helped me hone my leadership and communication skills, which I believe are essential in any field. I then decided to shift gears and explore opportunities in lead generation, specifically for real estate and insurance. This transition allowed me to gain valuable experience in sales and marketing, as I worked to build strong relationships and connect clients with the right products and services.
As I continued to broaden my skill set, I made the decision to transition into the role of a Virtual Assistant for a health insurance company. This role gave me the opportunity to sharpen my organizational, administrative, and multitasking skills while managing client inquiries and offering support to the team. My work as a Virtual Assistant led me to pursue a role as an HR Assistant and Talent Specialist, where I was responsible for recruiting and managing talent, as well as helping develop and implement HR strategies. These roles allowed me to dive deeper into the world of human resources, and I gained a comprehensive understanding of recruitment, employee relations, and talent management.
Most recently, I served as a Junior Operations Manager, Property Manager, and Transactions Coordinator—all within the same company for over a year. This was a challenging yet rewarding experience, as it required me to juggle multiple responsibilities and manage various aspects of the business. I was in charge of overseeing operations, managing property-related concerns, and coordinating transactions, all of which allowed me to refine my problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage time effectively.
