For the teachers am going to give you steps and guidelines that will hel you assist with the students with autism. And these ways are:
1. The need to get help
If you have at least 10 or 20 kids to look after, every child needs your guidance, so you need to have time for each child. Because the others will be distressed and need of help also. So in this what you can do is to make available a aide that will sit with the child in case any of them distractive.
2. Ask the mother of the kid’s questions
Is important to know the mother of the children mother and get to know the condition of the child you are working with, since every child comes with different types of autism and disorders. As a teacher when you get to know the child well, you will certainly know how to guide the child appropriately.
3. Get to know their behavioral pattern
Is important for you as a teacher to know when they are going to overload such reaching the point of a meltdown , so you should be able to monitor all of them their behaviors at same time whiles teaching , so that you will know immediately when someone is going into a meltdown . When you notice that, since there is aide he or she can keep that articular child company and make him or her feel safe in the environment.
4. Get to know the kids strength
You need to be able as a teacher get know what this child is good at, and what also the other child good is at. Find out their strength; get to know what and what they can do. Every child has a special skill.
5. Get to know how the kids learn
Mostly kids with autism tend to learn visually, they do not learn like the way other students without disorder learn, theirs is different, you need to know they are special.
