In recent months, I authored a Vision 2040 document for the office of the president of Angola, two reports on militant Baloch nationalists and the phenomenon of woman suicide bombers in Pakistan, and working papers for the Singapore government, most recently on the impact of the Gaza war on Southeast Asia.

In addition, I have advised governments in Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East as well as financial institutions and non-governmental organisations. My advisory work ranges from geopolitics to public affairs, strategic communications, reputation management, and long-term development visions.

My past consultancies involved advising the Indonesian government on aspects of the 2022 Group of 20 summit in Bali and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations’ ASEAN Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue. I also assisted World Economic Forum Chairman Klaus Schwab with launching the first WEF Middle East and North Africa summits.

I created media training programs in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe for the United Nations Foundation, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and other UN agencies as well as the World Water Forum and the European Water Partnership.

Furthermore, I provided geopolitical advice to parliamentary committees in Britain, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, the State Department, the Pentagon, the Malaysian defence ministry, and the foreign ministries of Singapore, the Netherlands, France, Canada, Australia, Germany, Romania, and Israel.

Finally, I have consulted financial institutions, including Chase Bank, UBS, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, ABN Amro, and various investment fund managers on geopolitics, and observed elections in Kenya, Yemen, Albania, Romania, and Bulgaria.

I am a frequent contributor to international conferences and a sought-after geopolitics and security expert for media such as CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, CNA, TRT, CGTN, BFM 89.3, the Straits Times, Liahe Zaobao, The New York Times, Arab News, Reuters, AFP, and Associated Press.
