I've been in BPO industry for 3 years and have strong communication skills on or off the phone. I love working under pressure with minimal supervision. I can manage to finish the task properly and can do multi tasking. Now that I am doing home-based job as a medical billing representative, for the past 5 years I have been doing AR follow up, claims creation, insurance verification via phone, patient registration and payment posting. While I’ve worked at a few different places they’ve all been in the medical field and each has added perspective to my experience. This perspective has created a real understanding of the results of coding mistakes and how they can effect people’s lives. One of my primary responsibilities is dealing with the inevitable disputes that arise from denial of coverage often because of improper coding. I provide a valuable link between physicians and the insurance company at times enabling vital patient services. I maintain a high ethical work standard and understand patient confidentiality procedures. I also have gained an understanding of the importance of the timely posting of payments denials and write-offs.
