The Developer
I consider myself some kind of weird mix of developer, I like simple elegant solutions but
sometimes I have to get dirty and do some non orthodox hacking in order to keep things
running, I´m not afraid of learning in fact that is one of the things I’m always doing, learning and
implementing new technology.
Skills
Since I do mostly Javascript I will list the multiple frameworks and technologies I have proficient
knowledge of: Backbone, Angular, R
eact, Ionic, Cordova, ngCordova, React Native, Parse
Server, Vue.js, MongoDB, Google APIs, Expressjs, Sails.js, D3, PM2 and a large list of other
frameworks and libraries.
I have knowledge with popular platforms like DigitalOcean, Docker, Heroku, Amazon AWS,
EC2, Vagrant, Jenkins, PhantomJS, Selenium and many others.
I do other languages and technologies but I mainly focus on Javascript, however it is usual to
find me doing other things with Raspberry Pi, Python, Arduino among others.
In my experience I have been lucky to have the opportunity to participate in most of the phases
of a product development cycle, I´m familiar with design guidelines, continuous integration,
collaborative code base maintenance (code review, pull requests, dev flows), team
management, QA, Testing and automation, deployment and at some extent DevOps.
In the past year I have been doing home automation, it all started as a personal interest but it
lead me to a couple of interesting projects which I´m helping to maintain these days.
Experience
Freelance, Puerto Peñasco/Hermosillo, Mexico, May 2012 - Present
I have been working as freelancer for several years now, I have been involved in lots of projects
for large companies, startups and small businesses too. It is been a long way since I started
doing freelance work that it would be really difficult to list all companies I have worked with or
the projects I have been involved, among the companies I have collaborated I can list a few:
Associated Press, Google, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, Sleep Number, Walmart and many more.
At this point I think I have been involved in almost every phase of software development, from

designing the software to coding the thing, setting up QA suites, automation, unit, functional and
integration testing, team leading, recruiting (ha!), managing team finances, deploying process,
continuous integration and whatnot.
Lately I have been getting involved into machine learning, data scientifics and natural language
processing for big data analysis and other high computing requiring solutions for specific
problems, e.g. Twitter and social media monitoring, sentiment detection, image processing and
optical recognition.
I have also started a couple of personal projects which for many reasons have not seen the light
nor gained the traction I have expected, however I try to keep myself entertained exploring new
technology and putting small pieces of software just for the sake of it.
Javascript Developer at Tiempo Development, Monterrey, Mexico, May 2011 - March - 2012
One of the most prominent projects I enjoyed while working at Tiempo Dev was the integration
of the new CSpire (formerly Cellular South) billing and mobile applications, as many other
our-sourcing companies you end up taking over the project and left alone with the client, that to
me is just great.

Account management
Javascript Developer at General Electric, Aguascalientes, Mexico, May 2010 - May 2011
Design, estimate and build applications from the ground using JS, HTML and CSS; When I talk
about building apps with JavaScript I mean building application taking advantage of the whole
potential of the JS language; All this requires the usage of different project structures like the
MVC pattern and Comet programing.
I also have a role in the wire-framing and app structure design, from building basic mock-ups
and taking care of the UX & UI (Web, iPad and iPhone), functionality and usability of the
application to deciding which application structure is the most suitable for the kind of
application/sub-application/module we’re working on, also building APP-API relationships and
structures.
Web Stand-alone application development and architecture, planning and sponsor/client
negotiation is one of the roles I have to fit in this organization, sometimes the project client or
sponsor has an idea of the application structure, I - as a developer and architect - have to find
better solutions (if any) for the already proposed project, this means negotiate with the client
and make him feel confident of what I will do to his/her project is the best.

Web Developer - Business Manager as a Freelance, Mexico/USA (multiple places),-
I started as a freelancer, with no idea of how to run a business or write proper code for the web,
let alone a mobile platform, I spent a couple of years moving from one place to another, learning
and writing Javascript for the web and PHP/Python for the backend, helped a couple of
companies from Mexico create their websites (http://www.sonoranresorts.mx/ formerly Sonoran
Resales).
It was a great experience, at this stage I formed myself as a Javascript developer and web
entrepreneur, learned English while traveling from place to place, ran a couple of projects of
myself until I decide to get into the wild and work in a collaborative place (say being hired by a
company and learn from them). Since then it is all already told.
Education
Instituto Tecnologico de Hermosillo, Computer Systems Engineer.

The Human
Spanish is my mother tongue and I have learned English as a second language, I’m pretty open
minded and I don’t think I have traveled enough, I know a few places, mostly in the Northern
American Continent. I have been a hard worker since I was 14 years old, I have worked on
construction, have fished in Alaska for a bunch of years, I have been exploring the mountains
around Puerto Penasco trying to find gold and just like that I have ended up working on what I
do and love to do, writing software and having lots of fun while doing it.

reassuring fable. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal.”
