Jacob Ogogo

A graduate of Banking and finance from Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, Nigeria. Obtained a Certificate in Continuing Medical Education (CME) from Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).

He has six (7) years of experience in both private, public, and nonprofit sectors.

Jacob came up with an innovative idea in creating an online platform for public viewing and monitoring of all official community-reported ongoing projects/contracts. The platform enables citizens to evaluate and monitor performance, credibility, transparency, and accountability as reported in government news media. The idea is to make it easy for the citizens to assess the effectiveness of public development project executions located in their area or community. The online access platform empowers the citizens to become involved in making sure that the outcome of developmental contracts/projects located in the area benefits them. Jacob led the team and developed the online access platform and won prize money as organized by Colab and Budgit.

He has monitored projects for Federal Government under the supervision of Universal Basic Education (UBE), through a consulting firm (QSA NIGERIA LIMITED). At QSA NIGERIA LIMITED, he traveled to six different states in Nigeria, monitoring and assessing projects.

During his one-year Industrial Training at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), he served as a Trainee Financier, he also verified and audited financial transactions of JUTH.

He had been actively involved in community outreach programs to reach the poor by providing shelter, food, clothing, and cash to some disadvantaged communities.

He has done online phone data entry for a company called “Techsuplex” 

He is on full-time volunteer work with the Global Integrated Education Volunteer Association (GIEVA) -a non-governmental organization with a mission to empower and prepare the youth through education for a sustainable future. At GIEVA, he is designing a project on community-based education to create youth employment, wealth creation, poverty reduction, and reduce the crime rate in some of the disadvantaged communities in Jos, Plateau State Nigeria.

 As part of the team (Research Assistant), He also just concluded global Health-related research been carried out by 54gene (Diagene), Jos site, plateau state Nigeria, on diabetic patients and its related complications on the kidney.
