I am a motivated and adaptable sixth-form student with a global outlook and a strong academic foundation,
predicted 40 points in the IB. I thrive in diverse environments and perform well both independently and in team
settings. With proven leadership as captain and vice-captain of school and club cricket teams, I bring strong
communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. I am committed to continuous development and
have a keen interest in languages, psychology, and community engagement
I am a young cricket coach and volunteer at my local cricket club, Dartford CC. I lead and assist in bi-weekly sessions with children up to the age of 15 years old. I have been doing this for the past two and a half years and this has helped me to develop great communication skills, problem solving skills, time management skills, organisation skills, and observational skills. I also carry out one-to-one wicket keeping sessions to teach others my expertise in wicket keeping.
I love learning languages and I have always shown a passion for language. I began learning German in Year 8, at Dartford Grammar School, one of the most prestigious secondary schools in the United Kingdom and last year I was awarded the Dresden Trust Scholarship which recognised me as one of five promising young scholars of German. This saw me attend an independent educational institute in Germany where I was taught history and where I learnt, in more depth, how post-WWII relationships fostered and developed over time. On this trip, I also interviewed native German speakers to subsidise the research section of the Extended Essay which I had to complete as part of the IB Diploma, which I am predicted 40 total points in. My write up investigated the influence of geopolitical relationships and global events and how they impacted the regional perspectives and views on global events such as the partition of Germany and the election of Margaret Thatcher.
