• Key duties as System analyst and developer – consultant in TCS BaNCS Core Banking team (BaNCS
team) are:
- Maintaining and developing the core product:
a. Analyzing business requirements prepared by users and turning into system requirements. Preparing
system and technical specification.
b. Planning data architecture (DB2 tables, flat files, VSAM files and GDG files) for existing or new parts
of core product.
c. Coding new and/or changing existing programs (COBOL).
d. Maintaining the core product documentation (User Guides, Program Descriptions, Technical
Documentation, Migration Documents, Implementation Guides, File & Fields Definitions and others).
e. Creating new JCL jobs (batch jobs).
f. Functional testing (also preparing test cases and scenarios, supervising testing).
g. Regression testing (also preparing test cases and scenarios, supervising testing).
• Providing 1st level supports on the core product for online and batch processes.
• Providing 2nd level supports on the core product for online and batch processes. 2nd support means solving
production program when 1st level fails.
