Email:-CAREER OBJECTIVE I bring with me two years’ experience in video editing software with exposure to audio editing software. I have limited managerial experience however; I have served as the Head of video while in partnership with a photography company currently under construction. In that role, I was able to offer direction in terms of ways to film to ensure crisp visual and audio quality as well as direction in terms of possible visual concepts that could enhance or better capture the message the artists hoped to share. This I achieved in a music video I edited for a group of young artists set to establish themselves in the music industry. I am an observant person and I believe that this has helped me in visualizing and executing interesting visuals for the different visual pieces I have worked on. I trust with my observant nature, technical knowledge and minor exposure to a managerial role, I will be able to make sound contributions to the role of video editor. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Organisation Duration Key Position Responsibilities 1.WhvtisBlvk April 2016 - March 2016 Head of Video I conceptualised video content with colleagues for projects that were interesting for video format. I also oversaw the directing element to video production. Did camera work when and if necessary as well as oversaw all video editing. 2. OppiTV April2016 - October 2016 Webcast Producer I planned studio productions with a studio discussion. This helped creative a way for viewers to engage on selected topics and it also offered ordinary citizens in our town, the opportunity to become contributors in the studio discussion. The live broadcast included three packages approved by the Editor and me of content that was shot by student reporters. I oversaw the creation of stings for the webcast. These included for ad breaks as well as the beginning and end of the programme. I encouraged fellow student reporters to explore their creative senses in order to find that which interests them as I understood that not all student reporters were interested in being journalists. Others were more interested in editing and sound engineering. I worked with the Tricaster system used in studio productions and I oversaw studio set-up. 3.News24 February 2017 - Current Multimedia Journalist Intern I produce video stories ranging from hard news to feature articles. Through my features, I have been able to tap into an audience not typically found on News24 and that is black people from the township who are presumed to only read form newspapers such as Daily Sun. Through my features, I have been able to show my colleagues that there is a much bigger audience that we have forgotten because we assume they are more interested in stories about witchcraft. I do most of the camera operations for my own stories as well as for colleagues when requested. I conducted interviews I edited videos I used social media such as twitter, instagram and facebook to share stories. I used CMS to upload articles. I used video applications such as wochit and video scribe to produce videos.
