I am a recently certified proofreading graduate (Proofread Anywhere) with 23+ years of medical experience as a physician in women's health and anti-aging functional medicine. In the last years of practice, I focused on searching for the root causes of illnesses rather than treating symptoms alone. I focused on lifestyle changes, stress management, nutrition, vitamin therapy, and hormone balancing. I utilized novel testing including the role of genetic mutations or SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphisms) in disease states to better care for patients.

While not a writer per se, I've had to write, read and review numerous documents, reports, publications, essays, etc. over the years. I have taught students at different stages and levels in the medical profession in hopes of imparting knowledge, wisdom, and confidence while learning to be compassionate caregivers. I am a detail-oriented, organized, quick learner, and a flexible team player that works well in a reasonably fast-paced environment with fun and supportive camaraderie.

Now as an empty-nester, family and living have taken on different priorities with the importance of finding balance (and checking off a bucket list of travel destinations). I’ve always been an avid reader and enjoy books of various genre, yet a romance junkie. I enjoy numerous hobbies from baking/cooking, knitting/crocheting to salsa dancing, listening to Christian, jazz, salsa music or singing off-tune. I enjoy walking and strength training to keep the mind and body fit.

As a certified proofreader, I am available for general and/or medically-related proofreading jobs: part-time, full-time, or in a freelance capacity preferably in a virtual/remote setting or within central Florida. I can work per hourly rate or per words rate for freelance proofreading self-limited jobs.
