Irina Sumanenkova

Hallow, everyone! My name is Irina Sumanenkova. I am a citizen/resident of Kyiv, capital of Ukraine.

Art is what I do, and what I love. I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I believe we all start out as artists, and at some point, each of us has picked up a pencil or marker to connect with our creative side. I just decided to stick with it and have stayed committed to developing my style, which consists of a wide range of realism, symbolism and a little bit of both. My subject matter is also wide ranging, consisting of concept, wildlife and fantasy.

While studying painting in Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, I understood soon that it become a part of my life and world vision. It was amazing change for me, because I always thought about myself as a graphic artist. After the graduating in 2004 I have illustrated a few books and keep painting to this day.

Later I have discovered digital art for myself and start developing my drawing skills also by mouse in CorelDRAW; collaging and creating beautiful effects imaginable in Photoshop, including ideas for T-shirts. Also it was great editing photos using Photoshop, like: removing background, color and light correction, removing objects, etc.

There is so much to tell about the world we live in and the one I dream and hope it could be some day - the world where we love and respect each other and every living being.

I engage in history (including history of armor), psychology, ancient cultures, wildlife, science discoveries. I never stop learning.
