Ifedotun Ogundipe

I am an enthusiastic and diligent individual who has earnestly acquired experience across diverse fields of endeavor. Over the past six years, I have steadily advanced in my service within the Nigerian National Assembly. Beginning as an intern, I progressed to the role of Legislative Officer in the Senate. In this capacity, I am tasked with drafting legislation, compiling reports, conducting legislative oversight, facilitating budget defense sessions, and offering counsel to Legislators on optimizing their constituents' mandates. Additionally, I contribute to National Security & Intelligence Reforms under the Office of the Speaker, collaborate with state governments, leaders of thought, businesses, and charitable organizations to enhance the well-being of African communities.

My educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with First Class Honors, majoring in Banking and Finance. Recently, I achieved a Master’s degree with High Honors from Tel Aviv University in Israel, specializing in International Security and Diplomacy. Complementing these qualifications, I have pursued short courses at esteemed institutions such as the Geneva Centre for Security Policy and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

Motivated by the pervasive insecurity in Nigeria and across Africa, I resolved to enhance my expertise in Security and Diplomacy. Recognizing security as fundamental to development, I embarked on this path to contribute meaningfully to addressing this critical challenge.

In my commitment to making a difference, I have volunteered extensively, including participating in the Global Volunteer program of AIESEC in Gaziantep amidst the Syrian civil war. There, I aided in the settlement of fleeing Syrians at the UNHCR refugee camp. Additionally, I volunteered in the Masai Mara in Kenya, contributing to wildlife conservation and anti-poaching efforts.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I indulge in adventurous travels, documentary watching, reading, and researching topics of interest. Presently, I am engaged in the ongoing task of spearheading National Security and Intelligence reforms within the National Assembly.

In summary, I am a dedicated professional with a multifaceted skill set, driven by a passion for effecting positive change and contributing to the advancement of society.
