I am a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor with a solid academic foundation in Quantity Surveying and practical experience gained through my academic projects and internship. My passion lies in contributing to construction projects by ensuring financial efficiency, accurate cost reporting, and strict adherence to contractual obligations from inception to completion.

My core competencies and experience include:

Cost Estimation & Tendering: I am proficient in preparing initial cost estimates and conducting detailed analyses of tender documents. I have hands-on experience in measuring quantities from drawings and specifications to prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) using manual take-offs and software like CostX. I am skilled in assisting with the tender process, including compiling queries and comparing subcontractor quotes.

Contract Administration & Valuation: I have a strong understanding of standard forms of contract, particularly JCT and NEC. I assist in preparing interim applications for payment, tracking variations, and evaluating change orders. I am adept at helping to ensure that project cash flow is accurately reflected and that all work is valued in line with the contract.

Cost Control & Reporting: I am passionate about cost management and utilize Microsoft Excel at an advanced level to create and maintain cost tracking spreadsheets, financial reports, and budget vs. actual analyses. I focus on identifying cost variances early to help keep the project on budget and provide transparent financial reporting to senior surveyors and clients.

Technical Proficiency: My toolkit includes CostX for digital take-offs, Bluebeam Revu for PDF markups and measurements, and AutoCAD Viewer for reviewing drawings. I am a quick learner and am eager to adapt to new project management and estimating software.
