PROFILE
I am a Graphic Designer and Art Director working as a concept artist, illustrator
and animator for the production of digital games since 2008. Also working as
Art Director, i have been overseeing, managing and developing teams.
Forward thinking and with an outgoing communicative approach. I thrive in a

Yupi Studios is a multiplatform app and game development group that
has been in the market for 7 years.
Brought 3D models production to the company’s office by assuming
the position of Lead 3D modeler. Using Blender 3D software, i boosted
the 3D content creation for the game Yupies. I Fixed some pre existing
models, created and animated new models, created and animated new
scenery for the game and also created 2D assets for user interface.
Worked on a mobile device project called YupiTime, which was a
gaming platform for kids. I started creating some characters for the
tutorials and for the project’s website, i also helped to create an
advertising animation for the product. Later i was allocated as Leader
artist on the app interface and for the games that would integrate the

platform, this enabled the company to allocate others designers to not
game related projects, expanding the company’s business model.
Stepped up to keep track of the team’s tasks through daily meetings,
establishing a healthy and productive communication that brought the
team together even when remote job were happening.
Presented to the team a document with concept arts and specifications
for mobile games ideas, incentivizing the company to grow its portfolio
by releasing these relatively simple games every 3 months.
Mobilized a creative initiative within the company to bring documented
game ideas in a similar way i did before in the company. The ideas
would then be discussed by the team and selected to be developed.
Inspired by another app i worked on, i presented to the team some
concept arts and a video previewing an idea of a game that would
teach the colors to children. That resulted on the most rentable app of
the company: “Earth to Luna! Watch and Play”, created in partnership
with a brazilian animation Studio called TV Pinguin. I also worked as Art
Director on this project.
Pushed the team to bring insights for a game that would be funded by
government initiative, we came up with a health management simulator
game in which i worked as Art Director to create “Vila Saudável” for
Android.
Brought for the team’s evaluation a presentation with concept art,
detailed game mechanics and a preview video of a card game for
mobile devices. The idea was accepted and i worked as Art Director
for the project. Further on the development, we established a
partnership with a brazilian animation studio called Maurício de Sousa
Produções, responsible for the worldwide known brand “Monica’s
Gang”. After this partnership, we adapted the project to use the
characters from “Turma da Monica”.
Directed the development of the majority of the games of the
company, defining the art style according to the targeted public,
overseeing assets creation and how they appeared on the games.
Ensured efficient and fun experience for the users through the games
interfaces. Gathered inside and outside feedbacks and found solutions
that could answer the suggestions while kept the final project loyal
with the original concept.
Helped the creation of animated pieces for advertising, briefing what
the animations should communicate and how to do that, then creating
storyboards to show up the general idea and finally producing the
animations using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Flash.

Gareth was developing a mobile game similar to Supercell’s Clash of

Worked with Gareth to bring his ideas to life. First we defined how the
characters should be by creating a background story, gathering
references and creating hand drawings with the ideas. With the
sketches approved, we worked on a digital artwork on Adobe
Photoshop that was used as guideline for 3D modeling using Zbrush
and 3DS Max.

Worked with a creative team to create assets for a fantasy themed
mobile game. I received the ideas for the assets, from which i created
concept arts on Photoshop for approval. Once the concepts were
approved, i made the 3D models on Blender 3D and used Photoshop
for post production on the rendered images, resulting on ready to use
assets for the programmers. I mostly created buildings models, but i
was also requested to do UI elements. The project ended up becoming
a successful framework on Unity asset store.

Was responsible for creating 3D assets for the games, and later was
put responsible for the 2D production as well, becoming the main art

workflow, promoting an instructive chat between the art department

the company’s games, once again engaging different departments on

INTEREST AND HOBBIES
Traditional art
On my spare time, i like to create things, and i do so by drawing with paper
and pencil, sculpting on oil clay and casting resin figures that i like to gift my
friends with. The process of handcrafting puts my mind on a more diligent
state, because any mistake in traditional art is harder to fix than in digital art. I
try to cultivate that caring posture for everything i do.
Game development
I often like to adventure myself by coding some simple game mechanics and
see them running on Unity 3D game engine. This actually helps me to be
familiar with some terms from programing area, and it enables me to be more
productive with the development team.
