I am a Chartered Accountant with more than four years of progressive experience in audit, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting, primarily with Deloitte USI, where I worked closely with multinational clients across diverse industries. Over the years, I have developed strong expertise in end-to-end accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close, and preparation of financial statements under both US GAAP and IFRS frameworks.

My career journey began with core statutory audits, where I was responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of audit engagements for large public and private companies. This gave me a strong foundation in financial reporting, compliance, and internal control evaluation. Gradually, I expanded my role beyond audit execution to include variance analysis, balance sheet reviews, and supporting management teams with insights into financial performance. This transition allowed me to build a solid base in GL accounting and financial analysis, moving closer to a core accounting and controllership profile.

In my role, I have handled complex reconciliations, identified control weaknesses, and recommended process improvements that resulted in more efficient reporting cycles. I have also contributed to month-end close processes by validating journal entries, ensuring accuracy in accruals and prepayments, and assisting in the preparation of P&L and balance sheet schedules. Working across multiple clients exposed me to different ERP systems and reporting tools, and helped me adapt quickly to varied processes and expectations.

One of my key strengths is advanced Excel proficiency, which I have leveraged extensively for reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting. By designing and automating templates, I have helped reduce manual efforts and shorten reporting timelines. I also bring strong communication skills, having worked directly with client finance teams in the US and Europe, explaining audit findings, supporting them with reconciliations, and ensuring smooth resolution of issues under tight deadlines.

Beyond technical skills, I am recognized for my reliability, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure. I enjoy working in collaborative environments where accuracy and timeliness are critical, and I thrive when I can add value by simplifying financial data into actionable insights.

Looking ahead, I aim to build on my audit foundation and grow into senior accounting and controllership roles, where I can lead GL and reporting processes end-to-end, mentor teams, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
