Hellio Barbosa

I’m Dr. Hellio Barbosa, a Ph.D. in Chemistry with over 15 years of experience in materials science, nanotechnology, and applied spectroscopy of rare earth elements. I specialize in the synthesis and characterization of lanthanide-doped nanoparticles, with applications in soil sensors, optical devices, and pharmaceutical R&D.

Throughout my academic career, I’ve led multi-disciplinary projects involving Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), FTIR, phosphorus sorption, nonlinear optics, and photonic metasurfaces. I’ve published in high-impact journals and collaborated internationally, including postdoctoral work in Canada and Brazil.
