I am a graduate of Food Science and Technology from the Federal University of Technology Owerri. After concluding my five-year course, I was posted to one of the states in Nigeria to do the compulsory 'National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) ' where I found myself in a secondary school teaching young girls Home Economics and Food and Nutrition. I discovered my passion for teaching and this led to the beginning of my journey in the educational sector. Also, I was actively involved in private practice, teaching children in primary schools English and mathematics and it was discovered that they improved in their academics. I became more interested in teaching young children preparing them with reading, writing and mathematical skills needed to excel in all aspects of their career. the primary education is fundamental and when a child gets it right, the sky will not be his or her limit (his /her limit will be beyond the sky).
I have a professional diploma in Education and also a member of the "Teachers' Registration Council Nigeria" (TRCN). In addition , I have undergone series of training such as 21st Century Educator Training , Cambridge primary combined English Mathematics and Science , Finishing Schools for Teachers and many others.
Currently, I am the Year 4 class educator and English language teacher for year 4,5 and 6 in my school. I am also involved in private tutoring (physical and online), teaching children with learning challenges in Mathematics, English and other subjects.
I am well versed in the use of educational technology such as online tools and resources to engage learners during physical and online class sessions. I have successfully prepared learners for success in standardized examinations such as STAARS and SAT. I am an experienced educator in the use of active learning strategies that enable all groups of learners (high ability, middle ability and low ability) to be involved in their learning process.
If your child is having learning challenges or your child is smart but you want him or her to be engaged for at least one to two hours in a day or week, then you have the right person for the job.
