• Counselled the President and two Vice-Presidents’, executive management and directors with advice in
public affairs, communications and engagement during tumultuous public service cuts to programs, services
and jobs, resulting in the creation of four key campaigns during my tenure.
• Implemented a four-pillared approach (integration, influence, execution and action) to drive awareness,
momentum and championing of PIPSC commitment to protecting the rights of their members, which
resulted in the successful delivery of the Professionals Serving Canadians and Workforce Adjustment digital
campaigns, a seat on the Shared Services taskforce, and a media relations campaign.
• Organized a rally on Parliament Hill with 1,000+ participants which resulted in front-page media pick-up in
dailies both locally and regionally and CTV, CBC, and The National broadcast interviews.
• Conceived an Earned Media approach, identifying regional and national opportunities in support of media
which resulted in $626,647.95 free advertising through the pitching of storylines and writing of opinionpieces and letters-to-the-editor.
• Integrated a tactical social media approach that drove awareness and momentum in the protection of
members’ rights, resulting in 35,000+ Facebook followers, 49,877 Twitter followers, and YouTube
subscribers above 30,000.

(HTA) directorate with public relations, branding, marketing and communications advice.
• Facilitated and led multi-disciplinary teams utilizing consultative approaches which initiated the release
of government funding to design and implement an extranet website resulting in the creation of a
network of professionals dedicated to health technology assessment.
• Organized conferences, webinars, webcasts, podcasts, HTA Exchange meetings, press conferences,
Diabetes Cafés, information sessions, training initiatives, discussion panels, collaborative work projects
with other sectors of the healthcare industry etc.
