BIOGRAPHY
I am a committed individual with a passion for the work I do. During the past
twelve years my career was steered into local government where I have gained
experience in all financial aspects of a municipality.
As Technical Advisor appointed through the Municipal Finance Improvement
Programme Phase II (MFIP II) I was responsible for assisting in contributing
towards the financial viability and sustainability of municipalities; improved
capacity of municipalities to implement the MFMA and fruitfully engage in
processes institutionalised by National and Provincial Treasury; improved overall
compliance to the MFMA by municipalities and overall improved financial
management performance in municipalities
As Chief Financial Officer I was responsible for all aspect of financial
management. My duties included budget preparation and monitoring, adjustment
of budget, compilation of annual financial statements, financial management
reporting, supply chain management, revenue enhancement, revenue
management, expenditure management, creditors management, debtors
management, acquisition management and monthly and quarterly reporting to
National Treasury and Provincial Treasury, etc.
I have been closely involved in the Audit function of municipalities liaising with
internal as well as external auditors. I have been involved in designing and
implementing internal controls for the organisation. I have a passion for
ensuring that there is good governance and clean administration in government.
I believe I am a person who can take leadership and motivate and guide my staff
to be achievers and have a passion for the work they do. I see myself as a
person with good moral ethics and values and believe in honesty, transparency
and fairness. I believe in constantly trying to improve myself and assisting
others.
I am a person who adapts to change quickly. I encourage and welcome change as
I am of the opinion that change leads to growth.
It is my goal to serving my company with integrity, honesty and to the best of
my abilities.
