Civil Rights Corps / Communications Intern

Facilitated communication between teams on the DC Policing Project, initiated the project's social media strategy, worked one on one with victims of police brutality documenting stories.
Conducted a storytelling project for all active legal cases highlighting the stories of clients represented by Civil Rights Corps.

PROJECTS
“So You Want to Defund the Police, Now What?” August 2021 to May 2022
One of eight seniors selected at Centre College to complete a thesis research project which upon conclusion will be presented at the John C. Young Symposium and published.
Hands on investigation in the Louisville Metro Police Department and allegations of police misconduct in the community. Combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis of misconduct, condensed into a format that is easily distributed and understandable.
“The Disproportionate Effect of the War on Drugs in Rural and Urban Kentucky” August 2020-May 2021
Individual work with Professor Paskewich in tandem with his research on the War on Drugs.
Worked with Kentucky Historical Archives and applied resources from organizations like Critical Resistance to quantify the disparities, provided suggestions for reparations in communities affected the most.
