About

Let's be honest - no AI could make up my weird career path. I'm the guy who spends weekends elbow-deep in a '66 Beetle's engine (that's Fares, my pride and joy), then Monday morning I'm explaining 5G latency to frustrated Vodafone customers. How did I get here? Life happened.

Remember that scorching summer of 2003 at Generation Motors? I was the new kid sweating through his shirt while learning the real meaning of "air conditioning doesn't sell cars - you do." Six years and a thousand sales later, I could spot the difference between a serious buyer and a daydreamer by how they touched the door handle.

Arabity Magazine was supposed to be temporary. But turns out, explaining piston rings to gearheads prepared me perfectly for translating telecom jargon. "Think of bandwidth like engine displacement - more CCs means more power" actually worked!

Then came the Vodafone years. I'll never forget Ahmed, the shop owner who cried when we finally fixed his payment issues. His daughter was studying in Alexandria and those calls were everything. That's when I knew I needed that counseling degree - tech solutions aren't really about tech.

Now in London, my Egyptian colleagues laugh when I compare network nodes to carburetor parts. But you know what? It works. And when I'm not troubleshooting, you'll find me with the Masr Beetle Club arguing about whether the '66 or '67 had better valve covers (obviously '66).

What I've learned:

  • A wrench and a router need the same patience

  • Real solutions happen when you stop talking tech and start listening

  • Every customer has a story - even the angry ones

  • Old Beetles and new iPhones break for the same reasons - life happens
