I am Gul Fayyaz Khan, a multidisciplinary IT and data science professional with over 18 years of experience in software development, digital health systems, and research data management. My academic foundation includes postgraduate education in Data Analytics from Nova IMS, Lisbon, along with dual Master's degrees in Computer Science and International Relations from the University of Karachi, Pakistan.
Driven by a passion for solving real-world problems through technology, I have developed and managed custom data entry, research databases, and digital health applications for Aga Khan University, World Bank-funded projects, and the Ismaili Council. I specialize in tools and platforms such as REDCap, Power BI, SQL, Python, and SPSS. My expertise spans across data visualization, research analysis, data integrity, and supporting large-scale public health programs with digital tools.
I bring with me strong cross-cultural communication skills and fluency in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Khowar, with basic proficiency in Portuguese. My leadership roles within the Aga Khan Development Network have honed my community engagement, public affairs, and security coordination abilities.
Currently based in Lisbon, Portugal, I actively contribute to software development projects and volunteer initiatives within the Ismaili community. My international exposure includes conference presentations in the UAE and Portugal, focusing on the digital transformation of research data and electronic medical records.
My mission is to leverage emerging technologies—particularly in AI and data science—to build inclusive solutions that support health, education, and social development. I thrive in multicultural teams, enjoy mentoring students and researchers, and am committed to lifelong learning.
As I continue my academic and professional journey in Europe, I am seeking opportunities to collaborate with universities, NGOs, research institutions, and tech companies that value innovation, ethics, and service to humanity.
