Guilherme Abreu

I’m a software engineer with a strong focus on building full-stack web and mobile applications. I’ve worked across various industries and environments, from startups to client-facing projects, which has shaped my ability to adapt quickly, lead development efforts, and deliver high-quality products.

I co-founded a startup where I led the architecture and development of several digital platforms, gaining hands-on experience in both technical leadership and product strategy. This gave me a deeper appreciation not just for writing clean, scalable code, but also for building software that solves real problems and adds value to users.

On the front end, I specialize in React, Next.js, and React Native, using TypeScript for reliability and maintainability. I’ve built responsive, performant interfaces, handled complex state management, animations, and integrated with a variety of third-party APIs and services. I’ve also developed mobile apps with React Native that have been published to both the App Store and Google Play.

On the back end, I’ve worked with Node.js, Express, MySQL, and Supabase, building REST APIs, managing authentication, integrating payments (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, CyberSource), and deploying serverless functions. I also have experience with database design, cloud deployment, and securing sensitive operations.

Beyond coding, I value collaboration, mentorship, and clear communication. I’ve led small teams, mentored junior developers, and worked closely with clients and stakeholders to align technical goals with business needs. I believe in writing thoughtful, maintainable code and continuously improving through feedback and learning.

I’m especially motivated by projects that involve creative problem-solving, high user impact, and a strong product vision. I take pride in being a reliable teammate who’s not afraid to take initiative and contribute beyond just my job description.

Currently, I’m looking to join a team where I can bring my skills in full-stack and mobile development, continue to grow technically, and help build products that truly make a difference.
