About

I am a Renewable Energy Technology Lawyer with more than seven years of experience helping companies, organizations, and communities navigate the legal and regulatory side of clean energy. Over the years, I have built my expertise in regulatory compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, policy advocacy, and conflict resolution. What drives me is the opportunity to use the law as a tool to open doors for innovation, investment, and sustainable growth.

In my career, I have advised national and international clients on how to align their businesses with environmental standards while also protecting their interests through strong legal frameworks. I have represented clients in complex disputes, carried out due diligence before major transactions, and provided practical solutions that allow businesses to grow while staying compliant. My background has also equipped me to understand both the challenges and opportunities in Nigeria’s evolving energy sector, and I am committed to guiding stakeholders toward a future that embraces clean energy.

My work extends beyond traditional legal practice. I lead the Nigerian Chapter of Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE), where I mentor young professionals, develop impactful projects, and create spaces for women and youth to thrive in the renewable energy industry. One of the initiatives I launched, the WiRE Online Institute of Learning, provides training and access to educational resources that empower the next generation of clean energy leaders.

I also serve as Director of the Legal Clinic at the Coastal and Marine Areas Development Initiative, where I design programs that support renewable energy startups and promote sustainable livelihoods in coastal communities. Through this role, I have combined my legal expertise with community development, ensuring that sustainability is not just a policy idea but a practical reality for people at the grassroots level.

I have collaborated with international organizations, including the International Renewable Energy Agency and RMI’s Energy Transition Academy, contributing to research and strategies that support long-term low-emission development. These experiences have broadened my perspective and deepened my commitment to building frameworks that enable Nigeria, and Africa more broadly, to lead in clean energy.

Above all, I see my career as a mission. I am passionate about using my skills to make the energy transition not only achievable but lasting. I bring dedication, creativity, and a results-driven approach to every role, and I am eager to continue shaping policies and solutions that move us closer to a sustainable future.
