I saw in the spirit where God was gifting people, the gifts of the spirit. But if you do not know how to activate it, it will be as though nothing happened. The gifts of the spirit such as prophecy, healing deliverance, etc., have been given out in this season. But, if you do not activate it, you will lose it.
What is it that God is doing? It is a test. He will give you a gift and watch the maturation of that gift for a few weeks or months. Those who do well will be promoted, and there will be demotions and promotions.
It is like giving someone something and telling the person to trade with it. That is what is happening. You may not know, but it has happened even in your sleep, your ream, or while you were in church. Something has been deposited in you. A gift has been given to you so that your use of the gift will determine your next level. It is a deposition of light.
If you can activate this gift, you will enter your perfect placement.
There is something about destiny; it is like length and breadth. You may be okay in length and not okay in breadth. For you to be in the exact length and breadth position that you ought to be, you must come together and it is based on what is deposited in you.
Ephesians 4:7
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
There is a connection between the gifts and the grace. The gifts in you will determine the grace that you can access. Grace is the power of God that has been given to you that you necessarily do not qualify for. Some people call it unmerited favour. So, when I can look at you and tell you your name, birthday, and other details about you, it is because of grace; it is not because I am smart.
But, why should I be given the grace to know your details? It is because I have the gift of prophecy.
So, the grace in your life is based on the gift that you have.
Ephesians 4:7
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
So, it is unto ‘everyone’, not ‘some’. So, we are all gifted and that is what determines the grace in our lives.
1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
The gift determines the grace, and the grace determines what you are which is destiny. So, whatever level I have been able to get to, it is by the grace of God, and the grace is based on the gift.
Therefore, you cannot pursue a grace that you are not gifted for. ‘Allowable grace is based on imparted gift’.
Galatians 2:21
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Now, we have seen the connection between gift, grace, and destiny. But here, we see that grace can be frustrated.
Though gift has been deposited, when grace is frustrated, destiny will be affected. A lot of people have frustrated the grace in their lives by applying their gifts in the wrong place or by neglecting their gift.
Paul admonished Timothy not to neglect the gift that was in him. So, you can frustrate grace and neglect gift. So, either by neglecting the gift or frustrating the grace, you can affect your destiny.
Every gift of God in us is made for our destiny and it is powered by light. The power that drives the gift is light.
God is light therefore his gifts are light and do not forget that the scriptures says, ‘ye are light’.
1 Timothy 4:14
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
When you neglect your gift Satan can steal it, or when you frustrate it, it can turn in on itself. It will be like a black hole. A black hole is something that has turned inwards.
How come Satan is black? It is because the light in him has been inverted.
Ephesians 5:14
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
The Glory of God follows light. Illumination which is light is followed by glorification. There will never be glory without light that means when God is going to cause his glory to come on you, he will first cause his light to come upon you.
Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Isaiah 58:8
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
Before the glory comes there must be light. So, what is the agenda of God when he deposited light to be activated in you? It is to bring His glory. But, he will not bring his glory until your light is activated.
There is a light that you are, there is a light that is a gift, and there is a light that the Lord is.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
God can either be pleased or not pleased.
There is a new understanding about who God is; He answers the prayers of Christians but rewards those who seek him.
God may answer your prayers but the delivery date may be postponed till ten years after, five years, or immediately. But, when you seek Him, he rewards you, and his reward is not postponed.
Not every financial transaction is done in the bank, you can carry out some financial transactions with your phone. Sometimes, you may need money and the bank is closed, you can easily go to the ATM to withdraw cash, it is a system that is set to meet your financial needs.
In the same way, not all prayers are answered by God, there are angels that answer prayers, and there are systems that God has set for answers to our prayers.
So, there are some prayers that go to God, some go to other branches. Some transactions are handled by the headquarters alone, while some are meant for only the MD’s office.
There are some transactions that only God deals with, there are some for angels.
God has no parallels; He is not busy doing other things, No. His mind is filled with thoughts about man. He wants to show Himself strong in your life.
God does not like to show Himself to the world, He likes to show Himself in your life so that it is in you people will say God is real.
People cannot see God in the sky or anywhere else, they will see God in your life.
2 Chronicles 16:4-9
And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali. And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease. Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah. And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand. Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand. For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
2 Chronicles 16:12
And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.
Take note that he sought not the Lord even in his disease. So, what was God looking for where verse 9 says the eyes of the Lord runs to and fro the earth?
God wanted to do something so, His eyes was running to and fro looking for something to show. But, He will never show Himself where He is not sought after.
In chapter 15, we see that Asa made a covenant with the people to seek God, so, God was trying to look in his life to see where to show Himself. So that people can testify of what God can do in the lives of those who seek Him.
But, instead of Asa to seek God, he started to seek physicians and God withdrew.
God is a rewarder not to those who pray, or those who go to church, not even to those who are born again, but to those who not only seek Him, but those who ‘diligently’ seek Him.
Diligence means careful, persistent work or effort. That means seeking God carefully, persistently.
God will not deal with a man or promote a person who is not diligent.
THREE LEVELS OF SEEKING GOD
1. Seeking God with all your heart- How do you seek God with all your heart?
i. By fasting, praying, weepings, mournings.
James 4:8-9
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Joel 2:12
Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
The reward for seeking God with all your heart is ‘finding God’ and when you find Him, He will turn away your captivity. There are some things that you can never have until you reach a certain level. God has set the system like that. It is like a video game, you cannot achieve some things until you pass a certain stage, then you will receive a reward. What is a reward? It is the benefit of achieving something that was set by someone else.
Jeremiah 29:13-14
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.
If you want to find God there is a way to go about it. You will not find God because you have suffered too much, no. There is a system that is designed to finding God, there are no emotions involved. You cannot use money, or use a testocope to find God.
When you are in captivity, there is a solution. Once you find God, your captivity will be cancelled.
When you face situations, don’t just go about seeking men to help you. The solution is your heart; seek the Lord with all your heart. You may be able to pray without your heart fully involved but you cannot seek the Lord without all your heart being involved. Your heart is the only device that can find your Father.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Matthew 7:7
When you ask it shall be given unto you, anybody can give to you. But when you seek, then you will find.
2. Seeking God early- this is of two forms;
i. Seeking God in the morning – this means seeking God early in the morning every day. Early morning includes 1 am, 2 am, 3 am; 4 am or 5 am is not early morning, though manageable. But, 6 am down to 11 am is no longer early morning. The scripture says that Jesus woke up a great while before day to pray.
Mark 1:35
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Witches also work in early mornings because they know when the portals are open. You do not see witches flying at 9 am, yet, a believer will sleep till 9 am.
Matthew 13:25
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
Wake up when your enemy is coming to sow tares and stop him.
From seeking God with all your heart, you graduate into seeking God early. This is where the reward is.
ii. Seeking God in prosperity - This is seeking God when you are blessed. Some people wait until they are broke before they start seeking God. Your broke days are not the days to seek God.
Psalms 32:6
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
God cannot be found every time. In this level, God is the one that determines when He will be found.
When you are blessed, it is very difficult to seek God.
3. Seeking God first.
Matthew 6:33.
This one is the hardest one.
Job 8:5-7
Seeking God early does great increase. The word betimes is it means early.
Great increase, is the reward for seeking God early.
Seeking God first: this one is placing God above your need. God becomes more important than food, sleep, business etc. Why? Because it is what will bring you into your destiny. What is called manifestation!
What is seeking God first? Placing God above your need.
3 ASPECTS OF SEEKING GOD FIRST
1. In Giving:
Matthew 6:1-4.
When you follow God’s system, you are seeking him. Strictly following a system set by God, makes God to reward you personally.
It’s not about the action, but about the intent in your giving.
2. In prayers.
Matthew 6:5.
3. In fasting.
Matthew 6:17
There’s a fasting in seeking God early, there’s a fasting in seeking God with all your heart, and God will measure your fast, based on the class you are in.
Take note of the word; the lord shall reward thee openly. The word, the word shall reward thee openly means it means shinning, apparent, to appear, to manifest.
So when Go
