Undercutting False Hanging Wall Trial The undercutting of the false hanging wall of the South Shaft at the Dwarsrivier Chrome mine is a project which was undertaken to improve the condition of the overhanging face, sidewall and reef conditions. This will improve and limit rock falls, detachment of false hanging wall, the minimisation of serious injuries and loss of production and assist with the training and quality control of the installed support units.
