For more than a decade, I have done creative work with different advertising agencies. I first started as a graphic designer and visualizer for Adformatix in 2006. I then freelanced for almost a year as an art director with Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, Harrison Communications, and McCann Worldgroup. I joined Harrison Communications in 2007 and moved to Tribal DDB in 2010. I was invited to rejoin McCann Worldgroup in 2012. After 7 years in the agency, I was asked to move to Vietnam to work as Associate Creative Director for Cheil Worldwide and handle Samsung. I then shifted to Happiness Saigon as Head of Art.
Within years in the industry, I have helped with clients’ business wins as well as winning their trust, and I have gained awards for creative and effective work.
Aside from advertising work, I have started my own creative brand, Printed by Gissele. It's a personal project for my block printmaking work. I have also collaborated and produced designs and merch with fellow makers and doers, Brownman Surf and Nelle & Gissele Block Prints. I also work with local indie bands as a band photographer and as an online band promoter in my spare time.
I'm also a painter with several art exhibits in Manila:
• Figments - Cevio Art Haus, Pasig City - February, 2019
• _Revision - Nova Gallery, Makati City - July, 2017
