Giorgio Rutigliano

I started my career in 1977 as a system engineer for the family of HP3000 computers and in over thirty years of activity I have always concentrated my work on the exploration of advanced technological solutions.

I have gained experience on a wide range of operating systems, but most of my solutions are based on Linux and FOSS systems.

I design and maintain systems for business companies and internet services, and I have developed applications for data security and back-up, focused to small businesses.

I have a long experience in communication systems: I started the first node of the FidoNet network in Central-Southern Europe in 1985, and I had been the Italian network coordinator until early 90s (see my interview on newspaper Repubblica.it) when I then started working on the Internet.

I am a licensed radio amateur operator since 1972, my call is I8ZSE.

Specialty: system management, networking, virtualization, telecommunications.
