I believe that the best VA should have the following qualities. 

1.)Reliable

 Clients should be able to rely on their VA no matter what. They should have their client's back. They are in charge of meticulous tasks so that clients should be able to focus more on the managing part of the business. VAs should be able to serve as a strong foundation for the business to operate. As a reliable VA, we should be able to hold the fort in case clients are not available. 

2.)Critical thinkers 

VAs should be able to analyze situations and follow protocol. A VA should be able to apply judgment and take initiative in fixing issues even without supervision. CLIENTS SHOULD NOT BABYSIT THEIR VAs. 

3.) Organize

A VA should be organized and be on top of all projects assigned to him/her. Clients should be able to rely on their VAs to make sure all documentations are intact. Data are organized. 

4.) Proficient

A VA should be efficient in all tasks being assign to him/her. One must make sure that he/she is productive and effective. 

5.)Team Player

A VA should be able to work with co-employees harmoniously. Nontoxic and fun to work with. 

For me, these are the most important qualities a rockstar VA should have. In years of experience in working with different industries, one thing I noticed is common. We should strive to always be better. Be open to criticism, learn new skills as we go, love your clients' business as your own, and be humble.
