JavaScript developer, Freelance
Nov 2017 – Mar 2019
Vienna
This is my most fertile year, regarding web-development. I was limited with my workpermit (as a student you can work only half of the work time) so I decided, in
cooperation with my friend that we'll try to code more, find our own projects and
we did. We built finishing projects for students in final years (we were still the
second year). We had basically three versions of the same project that we just
polished for everyone. I did React.js and vanilla js on a front-end, he built back-ends
(well one) with Java (Spring). I also enrolled myself in BovAcademy which is an elite
online programming academy. If you can afford it (starting from 250 e/monthly up
to 1000 e) it's an awesome experience. Here we needed to code in teams 8 hours a
day 5 days a week, in order to finish the curriculum in time (if you don't they reset
you back). We did many projects, and the probably most ambitious was this:
https:/
/aihumanity.com/ . My role on the project was to build and test react
components. I stayed here for about 8 months before leaving.

Vienna
IMS Nanofabrication GmbH is a big Austrian company with over 200 employees at
the time I was there, they do all kinds of programming, machine technique, etc. They
produce components for chips. They needed someone proficient in JavaScript to
work on their internal app, my friend worked there and recommended me. Here I
meet React.js for the first time and unit testing. We used Jasmine. After this job, I
was proficient with React.js and unit-testing.

Front-end developer, Sipwise GmbH
May 2016 – Oct 2016
Vienna
Sipwise GmbH produces communication solutions. I started working here through
my friend, it was my first real company job. They needed someone to build a few
static websites only using Bootstrap and jQuery, I felt confident, applied and got the
job. I stayed there for about six months until the start of my classes at the uni.

In this time I was building static sites, landing pages with Wordpress. Reason for this
was, i was the computer guy, whatever goes wrong i could fix it, starting from
Operating system to network, LAN connection, hardware, etc. Everybody wanted a
web-site at the time so we had plenty of work (me and my friend). Through work, I
mastered HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and scratched the surface of JavaScript. This was
the time I realized I wanna be a programmer, so latter I applied for business
informatics studies.

BovAcademy, an elite programming academy, focuses on graduating proficient and
confident developers and programmers with the knowledge and intangible skills to
not just succeed as developers, but to also succeed in life.
The program has perhaps the most comprehensive and rigorous curriculum and
training for web programmers, as evidenced by the school's focus on five core
technical skills that each of its graduates masters—problem-solving, UI development,
programming, domain proficiency, and written communication.
