Raised in Southern California, attended Stanford University, graduated from University of Southern California, served two years in the U.S. Navy in Japan, entered the workforce in 1958, retired in 2008. Married and helped raise four children, all of whom are successful, productive and good citizens. Along the way achieved a leadership position in a family YMCA working with children. Became a member of the Crest Club for sales achievement the first year eligible, and for twenty consecutive years. I have proclaimed Scripture at my church for 33 years.
When I started in the workforce, I devised programs and copy for a direct mail advertising agency for 12 years; I started as salesman, achieved number one in sales, rose to sales manager, became general manager. Wrote recruiting video for Orange County Sheriff's Department. Wrote "Auto News" newsletter for 18 years. General Manager of 5-line automobile dealership in Bozeman Montana. Advised multi-million-dollar companies on marketing and productivity management. Wrote and presented seminars on person-to-person interactions and communication.
Became a Fleet Manager for Cadillac (it paid better) and one month sold more Cadillacs than any other salesman west of the Mississippi.
Now I write because it keeps my mind active, I like it, and I'm good at it.
I even played Santa Claus for my wife's first grade class.
