It has been an enjoyable and productive journey working in the fields of Sales and Marketing, Purchasing, Customer Service, Training and Development, Project Management, Cooperative Development and Public Service. My exposure and work experience honed me into being an effective and efficient Assistant. I was lucky to serve as an Assistant to Marketing Managers, General Managers, Project Managers, a City Administrator and a Chief Executive Officer.  

Since January 2008 up to the present, I have been supporting the City Administrator of the Local Government Unit, Mandaluyong City in the Philippines, as a Cooperative Development Specialist. As such, part of my job is to develop programs to increase cooperative membership base in the City. In addition, we also take care of the training and orientation of cooperative members. I am also in charge of the communication and coordination of major and special projects of the Office of the Mayor.  

Before entering the Government, I was part of the private/corporate sector for 15 years. I was an English tutor to a few Koreans, a Trainer and Marketing Consultant in an IT school, a Portfolio Manager/Trainer in an eCommerce & eProcurement service provider, Corporate Accounts Officer in an HMO, and an Assistant Marketing & Logistics Manager in a multi-national company.  

As a Marketing Consultant in an IT school, it was fulfilling to provide marketing support in course standardization. Also, developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies were my cup of tea.  

One of my favorites, was my job in a multi-national company where I met a lot of people from different countries. I was able to travel a lot also, specifically in Asia. Hong Kong is where I was frequently having meetings with Marketing Managers worldwide. Providing marketing and logistics support to them was fun. We were using SAP R/3 in client order processing, preparing sales forecasts and materials management purposes. Brand management and complaints handling were also part of my job.  

I was also with an eCommerce/eProcurement service provider, where I was part of the team which rolls out major projects using a new platform and system. As such, I train the end-users to equip them with the right skills and knowledge to use eCommerce/eProcurement and seamlessly integrate this new system to their operations. As such, Change Management was also part of the task. It was really challenging, but gratifying as well, when you see the results of your hard work. 

All these experiences made me who I am today- a trustworthy Executive and Marketing Assistant.  Grateful and looking forward to more work and new experiences, I trust your decision on my application.
