GM: WHAT’S IN THE NAME???
Many have asked and wondered. What is GM? What is the
rationale behind the popular name which pertains to GHCMI
Tanauan Youth?
People may believe it or not but the group started with
just a name with an unknown identity. Several months passed
and so we need to come up with the identity which will define
the youth arm of Tanauan. In order to come up with the name
and rationale of our existence, we have asked the opinion of the
youth members from our respective cells. Through a slogan and
poster-making contest, young people was asked to define GM
and to come up with the slogan that will describe the youth
group.
It was January 25, 2015 when GM was named Generation
Movers combining the two entries into one concept
(Generation Mix and Groove Movers). Prizes were given to the
respective winners after the deliberation done by the GHCMI
Batangas Pastors.
The slogan and at the same time, the guiding verse of the
Generation Movers was taken from Matthew 11:12 which
describes the youth group as “forceful youngmen forcefully
advancing the Kingdom of Heaven”
Bro. JC Tolentino (GM Adviser) with the winners of the Poster
and Slogan-Making Contest as they present and explain their
piece. (From Left to right) Sonny Oruga (1st Place-Tanauan
Institute), Maureen Daria (2nd Place-Batangas State University
Malvar Campus) and Joshua Quiatchon (3rd Place-Tanauan
City High School).
Official launching activity was done at the same date of
awarding ceremony for the contest. It was then facilitated by
Pstr. Ogie delos Reyes (GHCMI Batangas Provincial Pastor). It
was attended by over 60 young people. :)
WELCOMING THE FIRST BATCH OF GENERATION MOVERS . . .
As per the mandate given to us by the Lord, it is our task to evangelize people and make them true disciples of Christ. It is our task
also to equip them to become disciple makers as been stated in the Grand Harvest Mission and Vision. As part of the equipping process
with which GM uphold, the first batch of the Generation Movers was announced last January 25, 2015.
Thirteen young people is currently part of GM first batch from the original six-person group. These young people is now currently
enrolled in the Local Church Based-Training Center (LCBTC) with the goal to deepen their relationship with Christ and to equip them to
become future cell leaders. Half of the enrolled Batch 4 LCBTC students is part of the Music Training Program which aims to
develop potential music workers that will be sent to GHCMI outreach churches for ministering during their worship services. :)

GM Took Part During GHCMI Tanauan 21st Anniversary
Amazing it is to know on how the Good Lord works in
the lives of every individual that GM touches. From the
day that the first GM music trainees was launched, no
one really thought that they can make it unto the 21st
GHCMI Tanauan Anniversary. It is true that apart from
God, we are nothing but with God all things are possible
and so this one was made possible amidst all the negativities that the trainees encountered.
Apart from offering a sound of worship to God through music, the youth
group also offered a role-played situation as an evangelism tool during the
anniversary. It is really very encouraging to keep on investing in the work
of the Lord when in the first place we see that
the Lord is being glorified in our every action. It
is also noteworthy to know that from bringing
one soul to Jesus, another soul is being lifted to
Him every time that we share God’s work with
them.
It is really discouraging to keep on practicing when
you know you’re off-note. It’s saddening to see one’s
weakness. But it is really grateful to know that we have a
God who encourages us and remind us that our weaknesses can be overpowered by His Strengths.

ACTIVITIES
Tuesdays
4:00 pm PUP cellgroup
Also as we would like to make every youth a
part of the ministry, we will help each other
serve the way God wanted to be served. For
together, we will be forceful in advancing God’s
Kingdom.
Young Music Trainees from GM Batch 1 lead the preworship part of the anniversary. New voices were heard in
the heavenlies. New sound of guitars and drums joined
the angels in the anniversary celebration. Truly the fear of
the young people to face the crowd was overjoyed by the
fear of the Lord. The passion to bring the utmost worship
drives the young team to sing praises and make music to
God.

Foodtrip Overload Turned GM Friend Day
Since half of the attendance recorded last anniversary
was from the youth group, getting to know other young people
and catching up were accomplished during the said occasion.
Also, due to the positive results of the foodtrip overload activity
that was recently concluded, GM planned to host another foodtrip overload in a per campus/group basis.
Schedule of the said Friend Day for each campus and cell groups
are presented below whereby the support of everyone in any form is
highly appreciated since this activity aims to widen the network of
each cell group we have.
FRIEND DAY SCHEDULE
In line with this activity, heads would be the particular individuals coming from the campus/cell group. They
would be the one to do all the activities with regards to food
preparation and invitation of their friends.
