WORK EXPERIENCE
Software Developer, Andela - Nov/2014 - present - Ilupeju, Lagos
Andela is a global talent accelerator that produces world-class developers and connects them with top
employers.

Developed & maintained a library app using Python/Django to manage Andela’s library. This
enabled the Liberian to better keep track of books going in and out of the library without
physically present at the library.

Part of a team that built an internal recruitment tool called Sieve. The tool was built with
Python, Django, Postgres. This helped the recruitment team better manage the process for
adding new employers and their data.

Worked with a couple of external remote teams to help them add value to their products

Core contributor to various data.world’s open source projects to enhance data transfer to
the platform. Some of the projects worked on include;
○ KNOTS - an intuitive desktop application built to simplify the configuration of
Singer pipelines built with ReactJS/Redux, NodeJS and electron (initially had a
prototype built with Python, Django, Django Rest Framework and React). This
helped users configure their data transfer quicker, faster and with lesser errors.
○ tap-redshift - Built a singer tap for Redshift. Tap built with Python to connect a
target source to a RedShift source. Greatly enhanced the integration of Redshift
data into data.world’s platform.
○ data.world-py - Python package for data.world. A Python SDK that allows users
integrate their data easily to the company’s platform. This made it seemless for
python users to integrate and interact with data.world’s api endpoints from their
application so they can seamlessly update their data on the platform.
Software Engineer, WEconnect - March/2017 - September/2017 - Seattle, USA
WEconnect helps patience recovering from addictions to full recovery and helps them stay sober by
managing their appointments and engaging them in activities that helps improve their recovery.

Worked as a core contributor to WEconnect’s backend platform to optimize, make quick
fixes and add new features to the organisation’s API built with NodeJS/Express/Swagger.

Built a React/Redux admin app for monitoring API/backend operations. This enabled
technical operation teams to make real time adjustments and troubleshoot events on
WEconnect’s API faster.

Managed the main WEconnect’s webpage that was built with Wordpress. Helped with
managing and updating information on the site. This enabled new information about the
platform get to the users quickly.

Interned as a Product lead for an Andela’s internal tool called Allocations. Allocations is
an internal tool that helps for easier staffing process of a Fellow to an engagement
(external projects).
- Managed project board (Pivotal tracker), making sure that new features are
updated for developers to track and work on. This helped developers increase
productivity hence releasing new features and fixes quicker.
- Run daily standups with developers and help with major blockers.
- Run bi-weekly sprint planning and retrospects with developers to set priorities
and help improve processes.
- Organise bi-weekly demos with product owner and key stakeholders.
- Frequently meet with product owner to come up with new features and address
priorities.

media such as text and video, creates HTML shell pages around them, and bundles them
