Gawie Myburgh

Gawie Myburgh is a highly skilled professional with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Theatre Arts, as well as a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Film and Visual Media from the University of the Free State. His career took a significant turn in 2016 when he joined Palama Productions. There, he took on key roles as co-producer, production manager, and editor. His extensive involvement in various television productions highlights his diverse skill set, including directing. Notably, Gawie co-produced the acclaimed short film "Die Leeftyd van 'n Orgideë" for the KykNET Silwerskerm Festival in 2018, winning the prestigious Best Short-Short Film Award. Building on this success, he co-produced the feature film "Skemerson" (2019) and served as co-director for the feature documentary "Droogte" (2019). Gawie's influence extends to documentaries, with significant contributions to projects like "From Parow to Parow Fest: The Jack Parow Story" and "Africa's Home Run," both released in 2020.
