Employment History:
B&M Retail Ltd (2016 - 2018) (2020 - 2021)
This was my first “real” job working for one of the UK fastest growing retailers. My role
was quite varied in my time at B&M from serving on the checkouts, replenishment to
sorting out the warehouse for deliveries. Eventually, I found myself working on the
customer service desk and covering supervisor shifts during the Covid-19 Pandemic. I
gained vital experience and knowledge of customer service, cash management and
shift management skills.
Aceville Publications/ DC Thomson & Co 2019 - 2020
I joined aceville in 2019 as a Web Developer. My main responsibilities in this
position were to implement features on the companies extensive portfolio of
websites and brands, create newsletter emails and deal with support tickets on a
technical level. Through this I gained first hand experience in a corporate IT
environment and working with a large development team. Utilizing version control
methods and several backend systems. I also took on the responsibility of video
editing for the Craft Channel ( Please see links at the bottom).
PGL Travel Ltd (2017 - 2018) (2019 - 2023)
I started at PGL as an apprentice activity instructor and group leader. Part of the
apprenticeship was to get my foot in the door to the outdoor activity sector learning how
to run fun, engaging and safe activity sessions working at heights and working with
children from 8-18. I also was a group leader for the NCS product we ran with the older
age groups. After the pandemic I returned to PGL as a Night Support Team Leader. My
key responsibility on this job is ensuring the safety and comfort of our
guests (up to 750 persons) and staff (up to 150 persons) and communicating/dealing
with any concerns or issues any of our guests may have.
In 2022 I moved to a new role within PGL as the Programme Co-Ordinator for PGL
Marchants Hill. My key responsibilities for this role were to write the groups traveling to
Marchant’s Hill’s programme and also write the staffing rota taking into account
variables from holiday to sickness and skill level of the instructors. In 2023 this role
moved to our Head Office and I did this for 4 centers instead of 1.
