Gabriela Mateo

I am a young professional from Costa Rica eager to use my writing to help improve the world of Wellness and Travel. Although born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, I earned a Bachelor of the Arts from Amherst College in the United States and have traveled globally leading to my appreciation of cultural diversity. After earning my undergraduate degree, I spent 2 years taking courses focused on Medicine and then in 2017, transitioned to the Netherlands where I completed a Masters Degree in Human Movement Sciences.

I am currently working as a Wellness Center and Health Complex developer for a private company as well as writing part-time for an Eco Lodge in Costa Rica. My passion for surf, the outdoors and all activities connected to wellness and travel shines through my work and helps connect with readers. I am fluent in both English and Spanish which allows me to reach a bigger audience.
