Accomplishments
I was entrusted with the role of Data Coordinator to prepare an important paper for the Chairman of the
Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), who was invited to serve as a resource person for the prestigious 5Day Induction Programme for the newly elected members of the 10th National Assembly of Nigeria, the country's
federal legislature This paper was meticulously crafted, earning me commendations for my dedication and
excellence in execution.
At the direction of the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), I executed the data entry for
the Diaspora Toolkit survey, encompassing key pillars of the Diaspora Engagement Self-Assessment Tool
(DESAT). This crucial work contributes to enhancing our understanding and effectiveness in engaging with the
Nigerian diaspora community. Consequently, the African Union – Directorate of Citizens & Diaspora Organization
(CIDO) sent an invitation letter to NiDCOM to participate in a capacity building training to assist the Diaspora
Focal persons in countries that successfully filled out the survey. I was nominated to attend training for
successfully completing the data entry tool on behalf of the Commission and Nigeria as a whole.
I designed an engaging one-page prompt alongside a concise survey specifically for Nigerian graduates in the
Diaspora, aimed at inspiring their participation in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). By gathering valuable
data through this survey, we effectively identified and understand the diverse personal and academic
backgrounds of Nigerian students abroad.
