About

I am public speaker currently giving a talk called "A History of Animation: Cartoons in our Culture". It’s a dynamic and entertaining story of humans’ fascination with creating the illusion of movement, technical milestones, show business in America, the rise of cartoon studios and the ups and downs of the people that made it happen. Its part art history and part science. It’s designed for animation students, professionals, and anyone who loves cartoons

I am a 25-year veteran of the Los Angeles animation industry. Please see my IMBd page. I’ve been a director and production manager for episodic TV animated series at Disney, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, Bento Box and DreamWorks. Before moving to Los Angeles, I ran my own award-winning animation studio in New York.

Like my public speaking, my writing is dynamic and entertaining. I am a great explainer-of-things, able to express issues and ideas with clarity and acuity while keeping the reader absorbed and engaged.
