Andela invests in Africa’s most talented software engineers to help companies solve the technical talent
shortage and build high-performing distributed engineering teams.

Currently working on a UNDP project called Managing Migration through Development (MMDP).
This product will help the UNDP to track, monitor, and harmonize the migration of refugees.
Technologies being used include Node/Express and MongoDB for the backend and React/Redux
for the frontend.

Worked with a team to build a product called Dairynomics. This product is helping connect Dairy
farmers in Kenya to a ready market. Technologies used included Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, and
Bootstrap.

Worked on an internal product called Andela media that is helping the company to upload, manage,
distribute, and share its media including photos and videos.

Bimsoft is part of a Belgian-based company called Tracewise which develops traceability and quality
management solutions.

Worked on the company’s main product you.trace.it and accelerated its MVP by 3 months. The
product is helping food processing and manufacturing companies to guarantee the traceability of
end-products and raw materials plus monitoring quality and food safety. Technologies used were
mostly C#, Ado.NET, and MYSQL.
RECENT SIDE PROJECTS
Tee-shop: An online store for some cool vintage T-shirts built using React/Redux.
Tee-shirt shop - backend: A REST API for an online T-shirt shop created using Node/express, Mysql,
Sequelize, and Stripe.
User registration API: A Node/Express REST API that enables users to register and log into an
application. I coded this as part of the blog I wrote about JWT authentication and authorization. The
blog so far has around 13,000 reads. Technologies used include Node/Express, MongoDB, and
Mongoose.
