For around twenty (20) years, I have handled routine customer transactions and accounting services. I worked as an accountant I (Accounts Payable and General Ledger) for four years, and among my duties and responsibilities were to prepare journal entries for various accounting transactions and maintain books of accounts, maintain subsidiary ledgers for payable accounts, prepare monthly reconciliations of intercompany and other ledger accounts, prepare financial statements by recording accruals and journal entries of various expenses, and prepare the actual cash flow report of the company. Additionally, I held the position of Accountant I (Accounts Receivables) for two years, where my duties and responsibilities included timely preparing and releasing monthly billing statements to clients, handling receipt processing and collection functions, organizing the preparation of aging reports for management and following up on accounts receivable collections, accurately recording accounting transactions in the journal, maintaining the book of accounts, and accurately maintaining subsidiary ledgers. Adding up my seven years of being an internal auditor and six years of being a revenue collection clerk in the Local Government Unit of our town, and I am now in my two years of exploring my fate in this remote kind of accounting work.
