I- Introduction & Objectives:
With extensive experience in IT, working with Systems Development, Programming and Management
in general, and with over 10 years exposure to the IT and Financial Asset Management markets in the
US, in addition to 25+ years of experience with the management of his own business - working in all
fronts of its development - at this moment seeks to return to the labor market through a position as
a Senior Systems Developer, where he can – working remotely – employ the experiences acquired

Business Company specialized in Information Systems for the Financial Markets in Brazil, the creator
and maintainer of the Fortuna website (https://www.fortuna.com.br), a web-system specializing in
the technical information about Mutual Funds in the Brazilian financial markets.
He was the enterprise mastermind. Leading a team of up to 10 professionals, he remains in charge of
all areas of the company: from product architecture and development, to implementation,
dissemination and sales; from the daily operation of the software systems, to the organization of all
the company's administrative processes, including negotiations with suppliers, customers, and
partners.
A pioneer at its launch, the Fortuna website has become over the years a market reference, offering
up-to-date and reliable information about the entire investment mutual funds market in Brazil, with
tools for the analysis of individual funds, groups of funds, and the monitoring of the market as a
whole, meeting the demands of both small investors and market professionals, including the
specialized media.
Marchessini & Company - Senior Vice-President

some Hedge-Funds with a total of US$25 million of capital. Reporting to the CEO (Mr. Alexander
Marchessini), and leading a team of 6 professionals, he established several management and
investment processes within the company. Among others, he developed, implemented and operated
a Market-Neutral equity investment strategy, based on Earnings Growth Momentum, capable of
generating returns at around 15% per year; developed, implemented, and operated a Day-Trade
system in stock pairs, based on the identification of price patterns through the use of Neural
Network technologies; developed and implemented tools for the automation and real-time
monitoring of a portfolio with hundreds of financial assets, covering several markets (Equities,
Futures, Currencies, Bonds, Options, etc.); developed and implemented an Asset Allocation
optimization methodology using Markowitz's Efficient Market Frontier theories for three fund-offunds hedge-funds within the firm, obtaining returns of around 25% per year.

During this period, he was an IT consultant for several Asset Management companies in the tri-state
area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut). His main clients were Paloma Partners LP, Stark
Partners LP, AKT Associates, London Global Securities, Coldspring Assets Management, and Kellner
DiLeo Asset Management.
He was responsible for the whole IT infrastructure of its customers. He organized the implementation
of hardware and software systems, LAN networks, real-time information systems, maintenance and
backup routines, communication systems, help-desk and user training. During this period, he
developed and/or implemented several Asset Allocation, Automated Trading, Options Pricing, and
Accounting systems, among others.

Department of Computer Science at Columbia University in New York City. During this period he
received the degree of Master of Philosophy in Computer Science (M.Phil) for completing credits
towards his doctorate, and for publishing the work “Learning Algorithms in Neural Networks”
[CUCS-062 -90], the subject of his research work.
Banco Itaú S.A. – Consultant Analyst

He coordinated several projects for the development and standardization of the concept of "End
User Computing" within the organization, addressing problems ranging from the integration of
Microcomputer Networks with Departmental Servers to the integration of Heterogeneous Mainframe
Networks with Departmental Servers and Banks Distributed Data. During this period, he represented
Banco Itaú within several government committees through the ABNT, for the development of
standardized communication protocols of a future national network of electronic funds transfer
(TEF/TED). Also during this period, he carried out the very first connections of the company's
networks to the ARPANET network, which would later become the INTERNET.

He developed routines and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the organization's
computer systems. It programmed extensions to the MVS operating system to optimize the proper
use of the company's mainframe terminal networks. He participated in the daily maintenance
workforce of the MVS Operating Systems within a network of "mainframes" with more than 2,000
terminals. He also developed an automated control system for the bank's technical library. And he
was awarded a full scholarship for the Master of Science in Computer Science program at Columbia
University, during the period from June-1983 to June-1985.
Figueiredo Ferraz Consultoria e Engenharia de Projeto S.A. – Scientific Programmer
