I completed my university degree in environmental engineering and natural resource management. I also participated in various internships that are related to hygiene, water and sanitation, as can be seen on my CV. These experiences, along with my education, helped highlight the importance of these public health necessities, as everyone deserves the right to clean water and a healthy life.
Since 2017, I have worked in the Rural Hospital of Chicumbane, Limpopo district, in Gaza province. My duties include HIV counseling, giving health education and promoting healthy behaviors through public presentations, and I also have given talks on the importance of environmental health. During my time at the hospital, I have also collaborated with US Peace Corps volunteers in helping them formulate their community needs assessments by helping them in their qualitative data analysis. Most recently, in March 2019, I participated in a community project design and management training with Peace Corps facilitators where I learned how to make projects sustainable, impactful and carried out in an ethical manner.
