I am a passionate and versatile Language Consultant with a PhD in Linguistics and years of experience in editing, translation, transcription, academic writing and publishing. My career spans across the education, media, and technology sectors, allowing me to combine strong language expertise with strategic thinking and cross-cultural communication.
I have served in key roles such as Chief Language Officer at an EdTech company, where I led the development and quality assurance of language content in English and over 10 African languages. This role gave me the opportunity to manage multilingual teams and support product localization that reached private schools across Lagos and Abuja.
As a Research Mentor and Assistant, I have supported undergraduate and master’s students and faculty members in developing research proposals, refining methodology, and editing academic publications. My mentoring style emphasizes clarity, precision and empowering learners to communicate their ideas effectively.
In addition to my core language services, I’ve expanded into market research, content strategy, and digital storytelling. I am comfortable working with data to derive insights, supporting user experience research, and creating content that resonates with diverse audiences. My toolset includes Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva, CAT tools like Smartcat and transcription/subtitling tools.
I work fluently in English, Yorùbá, and Nigerian Pidgin, and I’m deeply invested in preserving indigenous languages while adapting them for global digital platforms. I enjoy collaborating with teams that value inclusion, creativity and purpose-driven innovation.
Currently, I am open to full-time, part-time, or freelance roles that involve translation, editing, language QA, research, UX content, publishing or media localization. Whether contributing to a startup team or supporting academic projects, I bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
