Frances Mae Mata

I am a registered nurse, but I chose to take a different career path. I currently work as a project coordinator for an Australian funded project here in the Philippines. My previous work experience also include that of being a Program Coordinator for Health & Nutrition programs in one of the agencies of an international NGO. The job has allowed me to develop my research skills, technical writing skills in proposal writing and reporting, and my creative writing skills in contextualizing topics for the youth.

I also affiliated with an advertising agency for a year as an Account Executive for Events. The experience has allowed me to explore market research and to continue and even improve my writing in business communication and creative pitches.

In my free time, I help out students in writing theses and feasibility studies, too. I also do freelance events consultation, hosting, and management.

I am also equipped with commendable organizational skills and an ability to maintain the big picture while attending to details. I am an excellent communicator, with an ability to work with or within a diverse team; and I remain calm and positive under pressure.

My life and career have been driven by a strong passion for being able to be an effective agent for change and influence. This I have done through advocacy, project management, and writing.
