Fidelis Okorie

I am a results-oriented research scientist, senior lecturer, and field project manager with a PhD in Environmental Management and over a decade of experience leading impactful, cross-sector projects. My career spans academia, community development, and environmental consultancy—where I’ve applied scientific methods, data analysis, and systems thinking to address challenges in climate change, sustainable agriculture, and natural resource management.

I bring strong analytical skills and deep domain expertise in environmental sustainability, with hands-on experience designing and executing large-scale research and field projects. I’ve led multidisciplinary teams across institutions, managed complex timelines and budgets, and produced high-quality outputs—often under pressure. My background also includes delivering technical training, supervising graduate research, and advising policy actors, farmers, and stakeholders at both local and national levels.

My recent work has focused on climate change impacts on food systems and using statistical tools to model environmental trends. I have a growing interest in tech-based solutions, particularly in applying data science, GIS, and digital tools to monitor climate variability, optimize agricultural productivity, and support evidence-based decision-making.

In addition to my scientific and project management background, I am the founder of a retail business, where I honed my entrepreneurial, leadership, and sales coordination skills—building systems from the ground up and managing both teams and customer relationships in a dynamic market. This unique combination of academic rigor and real-world business acumen helps me bring a practical, results-driven approach to every project I lead.

I thrive in remote and hybrid work environments and am highly skilled in team communication, stakeholder engagement, proposal writing, and strategic planning. My ability to work across disciplines and cultures makes me a strong fit for international collaborations and distributed teams.
