Feben Tamirat

I am a public health professional with a master’s degree in general public health from Addis Ababa University and a bachelor’s degree in public health from Haramaya University. Over the past several years, I have built strong experience working in project coordination, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and community engagement within both local and international NGO settings. My career reflects a commitment to improving health outcomes and advancing community development through effective program design, implementation, and measurement.

Currently, I serve as a Project Coordinator at Pro Pride, where I oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of health-related programs, ensuring that project goals are met within scope and time. I have also worked as a MEAL Officer at Pro Pride and as a Community Engagement Facilitator at the Common Vision for Development Association. Additionally, my internship with CARE Ethiopia provided hands-on experience in implementing and tracking large-scale public health projects, particularly those related to Menstrual Hygiene and Health (MHH) and HIV prevention.

My key skills lie in designing and managing M&E frameworks, conducting data quality assurance, and performing data analysis using tools such as Excel, SPSS, Stata, Epi Info, and Open Code. I am also proficient in using DHIS2 for health data reporting and have experience preparing clear, evidence-based reports for donors and stakeholders. These technical abilities are complemented by strong organizational and coordination skills, enabling me to manage multi-stakeholder initiatives effectively.

Beyond technical expertise, I bring strong interpersonal and communication skills. I have successfully conducted trainings, facilitated workshops, and built capacity among healthcare providers, peer educators, and community members. My fluency in Amharic, English, and Afan Oromo allows me to work effectively across diverse groups.

I am particularly skilled in documenting project outcomes, writing professional reports, and transforming raw data into actionable insights. My experience spans project planning, community mobilization, and impact evaluation, making me highly adaptable to roles in project management, data analysis, research, and remote support functions.
