➢ A qualified Chartered Accountant by profession with a diversified experience of the industry especially the Power
Sector. Overall nine (09) years of experience with key focus on handling all the functions of accounts and finance
department, preparing and auditing the financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting
Standards (IFRS), compliance with corporate laws and tax laws.
➢ Comprehensive experience of corporate finance function of the Company including contractual compliances of

WORK EXPERIENCE
➢ AZAD PATTAN POWER PRIVATE LIMITED - a subsidiary of Power Universal Ltd owned by China Gezhouba
Group Company Ltd. From 8th August 2016 to Present:
Azad Pattan Power (Pvt) Ltd is a subsidiary of Power Universal Ltd which is owned by China Gezhouba Group
Company Ltd and is a special purpose Company set up to design, constructs, own, operates and maintain 700.7MW
hydropower project under Government of Pakistan’s Policy for Power Generation Projects 2002 on River Jehlum.
I am currently working as Manager Project Development and my key responsibilities under the said role includes but
not limited to:
•
Manage and oversee financial, accounting and business planning activities: strategy, targets, planning, budgets,
monitoring, controls, management and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems,
processes and personnel involved.
•
Maintain and periodically update the Project Financial Model, monitor financial progress on contracts awarded
and supervise management reports including projected cash flows for committed capex relating to the Project.
•
Preparation and monitoring of the Project Cost Statements as per tariff application on monthly and need basis
and ensuring the correct allocation and classification in the project cost heads under the Power Purchase
Agreement (PPA).
•
Preparation of monthly and quarterly progress reports for submission to the relevant governmental entities.
•
Arranging Project finance facilities and relationships with the Project Lenders and their advisors.
•
Advise the management on commercial aspects of the project agreement and ensure compliance with
commercial and legal aspects of Concession Documents and EPC Contract.

Strategy formulation, development and Implementation of plans for operational management to successfully
complete the assigned work efficiently and effectively without compromising the quality performance.

➢ MIRA POWER LIMITED - a subsidiary of Korea South East Power Co., Ltd. From 25th March 2013 to 05
August 2016:
Mira Power Limited is a subsidiary of Korea South East Power Co., Ltd and a special purpose Company set up to
design, constructs, own, operates and maintain 102MW Gulpur hydro power plant under Government of Pakistan’s
Policy for Power Generation Projects 2002 as adopted in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
I worked as an Assistant Manager Finance and Accounts and my key responsibilities under the said role includes but
not limited to:
•
Preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual Financial Statements of the Company in
accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and ensuring timely preparation and
presentation of financial statements. Quarterly reporting of financial package to parent company and

correspondence with parent company finance team. Conducting the annual audit of the company and obtaining
other required certifications.
•
Preparation of monthly financial statements for Provident and Gratuity Funds of the Company. Handling and
monitoring the final adjustments of leaving employees. Correspondence with the auditors for their annual
audit. Filling of the annual tax returns and monthly tax statements.
•
Ensure timely submissions of all the tax payments and handling all the tax matters of the Company including
monthly and annual tax filings and other matters in consultation with the tax advisor.

Annual budget preparation and allocation of budget to daily expenses. Preparation of monthly and annual
budget utilization reports for presenting to board of directors of the Company.

Management of the Company’s monthly payroll functions and verifying the tax to be deducted from the salary
at the time of payment.
Key responsibilities to assist Company Secretary include;

To ensure the compliance of the provisions of Companies Ordinance 1984, rules made thereunder and other
statutes and bye-laws ensuring that Company is conducting its business in accordance with its objects as
contained in the memorandum of association.

Issuance of notices to the members along with the agenda for holding board meetings, annual general meetings
and extra ordinary general meetings in accordance with the Companies Ordinance 1984 and preparation of the
minutes of the meetings.

Carry out all the matters concerned with the allotment of shares and issuance of share certificates including
maintenance of statutory share register along with the necessary statutory fillings connected with shares
issuance and transfers.

I worked as “Senior Auditor” in Audit and Assurance department of the firm. Over the tenure of three and a half (3.5)
years with KPMG, I have been involved in conducting statutory audits of different companies, providing consultancy
services, managing and handling the finance function of a multinational Oil and Gas company. Further my roles and
responsibilities include:

Planning and execution of audit engagements as per the requirement of International Standards on Auditing
(ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Corporate laws, KPMG Audit Methodology,
directives of the regulatory authorities and other SEC requirements as applicable in Pakistan.

Preparation of audit plans and ensuring the timely implementation. Conducting business and risk assessment
through client meetings, research and analysis and cumulative audit knowledge.
•
Liaison with clients and co-coordinating with various professionals like bankers, internal auditors, independent
valuators, lawyers, actuaries and other specialist to conduct the audit engagement in a timely manner.
Providing consultancy services by highlighting internal control weaknesses in operations and suggesting
improvements.

Planning and allocating resources to meet the audit objectives and conducting the audit in an efficient and
effective manner. Direction, supervision and review of audit team members.

Preparation of audit reports and reporting directly to the senior managers and Partners including interim and
final issues memorandum.
I was also given the opportunity to serve in KPMG AFGHANISTAN LIMITED (Kabul Office) & KPMG LOWER
GULF (Dubai Office) on secondments on three (3) months. I successfully supervised the audit of Kabul’s largest
hospital for children, other individual grant audits, audit for services management industry and an international
magazine during such period.
